Abstract  The object flies towards the drone and seemingly comes very close to it. Due to unfavorable conditions of background color and lighting (i.e. cloud covered sky) we cannot track the object back to the distance further than only 12 frames. These circumstance make an estimation of the objects speed rather unreliable and the missing smear effect in all frames indicate that the object does not travel as fast as many others. However, this footage is still very interesting due to the close look we can get on the object. From it we can infer that it cannot be a bird or insect. The fact that it occurs singled out in the video and seems to travel rather on a horizontal trajectory than in a falling motion is crucial. The object itself appears to have a flat shape that deviates from a perfect disc but might be symmetric along the axis of the flying direction.

† The day of the capture was stated by the originator. The more precise point in time was then derived by analyzing the direction and lengths of the shadows. A simplified but sufficient description and calculator for shadow lengths can be found at planetcalc.com/1875.
